A few corrections to your timeline —
1. Harry Huskey did die at the age of 101 in Santa Cruz, California, but in 2017, not 1956.
2. Huskey initially designed the G-15 while he was at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where Bendix also had its headquarters. The final design, engineering, and production were done in Los Angeles, California. Huskey did spend much of his career after that teaching at UC Berkeley.
3. The G-15 drum had 20 lines (tracks) of 108 words, plus 4 lines of 4 words (for a total of 2176 words of memory), plus 113 words that were not programmatically accessible, plus several words of registers — including the accumulators!
Thanks for the corrections! I’ll update the history page.
I corrected the items on the blog page with some of the info, the rest I’ll save until I create a related post! Thanks for your help.
